Tobias Hahn and Frank Figge – along with their co-authors Lutz Preuss and Jonathan Pinkse – have published their article “Cognitive Frames in Corporate Sustainability: Managerial Sensemaking with Paradoxical and Business Case Frames” in the Academy of Management Review. Congratulations!

August 2013
On August 12th 2013 Andrea Liesen was awarded the Best Dissertation Award 2013 at the 73rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM) by the Organizations and the Natural Environment (ONE) Division. Andrea’s PhD thesis ‘Climate Change and Asset Prices – Evidence on Market Inefficiency in Europe’, looks at the efficiency of financial markets to correctly price companies’ climate change induced systematic risks. Congrats!

An analysis of the sustainability performance of automobile manufacturers worldwide” has been published in March. New website www.sustainablevalue.se launched! The website provides a new online tool that allows Swedish companies to calculate their own contribution to Sweden’s future targets in the context of climate change and economic development.

Our new study on Sustainable Value Creation by Nordic Companies has been published. The study assesses the economic-environmental performance of 89 companies across different sectors from the Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden using the Sustainable Value approach.

It assesses the sustainability performance of 9 major chemical companies worldwide using the Sustainable Value approach over the period of 2004 to 2007 on the basis of a set of 13 financial, environmental and social resources. The study is the first of its kind to assess the sustainability performance of 16 major automobile worldwide manufacturers using the Sustainable Value approach.

The event targeted experts from both business and academia, and offered a unique opportunity to discuss the Sustainable-Value-approach as well as other innovative approaches in the field of sustainability accounting. The NeW survey has been published on March 29th, 2007. NeW has assessed the sustainability performance of 28 German companies using the Sustainable Value approach.
